Preferred has well qualified, knowledgeable, experienced mechanics that get the work done in less time at a lower cost. Their on-site repairs avoid towing delays and costs. I have been a customer for several years and have never been disappointed by the service received! Their new location has plenty of room for your truck and trailer and multiple bays to get the work done. Their driver waiting area has comfortable seating, tv, and free snacks as always. You get to talk with the mechanic doing the work if desired without a service advisor blocking direct communication. Drivers are treated with respect rather than as a burden. It's quite clear that the owner takes pride in delivering personal quality service to his customers.

It was obvious right from the beginning that technician Jason Simmons was friendly and took pride in the work he had come to do. He was quick in arrival and went right to work in replacing the 4 batteries in my semi. As an added bonus he allowed myself and small dog to stay in his air conditioned truck on an extremely hot day. I'm by no means a mechanic, after I did all I can do putting a starter and ignition switch on after I had burnt up a starter earlier truck still wouldn't crank. I'm new to Tyler and was looking for an honest mechanic so I had to try them out. William was prompt, he had me going within a few minutes after showing up. He went straight to the problem. Marc the mechanic worked quickly and effectively replacing an oil pump in my Kenworth in under a complete day, his work was impeccable, his personality delightful. General Manager James bent over backwards to assist us in locating a place to stay, (our breakdown was after hours) and transportation to and from.
